Maria has 10 years of experience providing services in English and Spanish to children, teens, and families from different ethnic backgrounds in outpatient settings. Maria’s experience has been focused on counseling clients who have symptoms of trauma related to adverse childhood experiences such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, family separations/loss, etc. Maria has a certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR), both evidence-based treatment modalities for trauma. Maria completes Immigration Evaluations.
